Projects
Dialogue needs knowledge, experience and practice.
Retreat
Understanding and communication, movement and change ADAM designs, advises and accompanies retreats and offers the space for them. The objective is to support cross-border, international and intercultural encounters of scientists, employees or managers from all walks of life, as well as artists, people working in the cultural field and all other interested people, so that they can deal with important professional issues with more peace and reclusion than in everyday life. In addition, retreats can be designed that focus on personal encounters and development, on inspiration, as well as spirituality, reflection, contemplative approaches and movement in nature.
Earth Works: Encounter of ceramic artists from Austria and Egypt
Working with the resources of the earth, the diversity of cultures, the skills and creativity of the artists and thus contributing to "understanding without borders" - that is the aim of the meeting of ceramic artists from Egypt and Austria in Vienna in September 2023.
Shaeirat – Bilingual performances by contemporary Arab women poets
SHAEIRAT PROJECT (مشروع الشاعرات / shaierat = poetesses) is a collective art project seeking to promote, produce and stage Arab poetry performances by poetesses and poets themselves in the Arab world and globally. The objective is to encourage and strengthen the exchange of poetry and cultural performance within Arabic speaking societies as well as in Europe.
Western Balkans: History and Encounter in Styrian Schools
ADAM promotes the transfer of knowledge about the Western Balkans with concepts and, with its partners and networks, the exchange of schools and experts from South Eastern Europe and Styria. The project includes lectures and workshops as well as other activities that contribute to a better understanding and a fruitful dialogue with the neighbouring region of the Western Balkans, which is so important for Austria.
Urban Anthropology Program
The Urban Anthropology Program (UAP) is a joint programme between ADAM and local collaborators. This programme should serve as a bridge between cultures, the exchange of knowledge, cooperation in arts and cultural productivity. Cities have always been the nodes of thinking and arts. The UAP covers themes that span but are not limited to: performing and plastic arts, heritage management and intercultural cooperation, social development, climate and environment in the context of urban development and planning.
CULTURE is ART is THERAPY and TRANSFORMATION
ADAM promotes creative, intercultural and therapeutic writing and storytelling "without borders" through its own projects (workshops, writing workshops, studios, etc.) and produces local and international programmes for encounter and presentation for artists.
